Since 2001, over one hundred film and television productions have been shot in Northern Ontario. In the past few years, the region has emerged to become a thriving film industry center spawning the creation of new businesses and service providers. MFM was thrilled to bring Northern Ontario’s talent together for the 2015 Northern Ontario Music & Film Awards (NOMFA) and conference, a three day event that acknowledged our region’s very best. Audience members, artists and industry representatives gathered at the Sudbury Theatre Centre to celebrate and recognize the very best that Northern Ontario has to offer in music and film.

Listen to and watch The Pixo Control; punk rock 'n' roll band from Sault Ste. Marie in their music video for their song "SCRATCH". This music video was shot and produced by Shawn Kosmerly (Here Kitty Kitty Productions) in Sudbury during an off day on their recent Ontario tour. The Pixo Control describe their band as "a vehicle of expression". Their debut album, titled "Probably Not" is out and for sale now with Tidal Records!


A music video completed as a requirement of DCM 320 course in the Digital Cinematography program at Canadore College, North Bay. The program graduates many, many talented individuals who become sought after professionals in the film, television, media and tech industries. This music video comes from Alyana Weatherbee and deals with Radio "Killing" the Video Star in the year 2016.

Over the course of eight months, the Imaginarium Studio team set out to capture some amazing and unique activities set against the majestic backdrop of Thunder Bay & Northwestern Ontario. Spanning three seasons and a variety of conditions, from blistering hot to freezing cold, this production was truly an epic adventure. With over 40 locations, 46 scenarios, 105 actors and over 100 extras, this effort was built on local talent and support from everyone involved. Throughout the production process, we at Imaginarium Studio had the opportunity to experience Thunder Bay like never before, in a way that can simply be described as a wild ride.
