Cultural Industries Ontario North (CION) is excited to partner with MusicOntario and Folk Music Ontario in producing a new wave of Northern Ontario showcases -- this time in Ottawa!

Returning for a consecutive year, this artist showcase opportunity is for regional musicians who specialize in twang and are ready to perform for new audiences in our nation's capital during the Folk Music Ontario Conference!

Northern Ontario-based musicians and bands are encouraged to apply for the showcase before August 7, 2025.

Please Note:

  • You must be a Northern Ontario artist to be eligible for CION's showcase.
  • Showcases are brief – 15 minutes each, with 5 minutes to change over.
  • Showcases take place in a hotel room in the host hotel, so you must have an acoustic configuration, with only light percussion permitted.
  • If you are applying from Ontario, you can also contact MusicOntario directly to apply, as CION will be co-producing these showcases in collaboration with them!
